Dariusz Mlacki
Mr. Mlacki works where "few fear to tread". He creates striking work on plexiglas, timber boards, cork as well as canvas.
Born in 1963, Mr. Mlacki is Polish and has trained and worked for most of his career in Warsaw, Poland. He has exhibited extensively in Poland as well as in individual exhibitions in the USA, Germany and France.
The collection here is a sample of Mlacki's work on cork. The cork is first painted, using a variety of subtle and slightly irridescent colors. This background provides a perfect backdrop for Mlacki's various central objects: hats, candles, trees, towers. The combination speaks for itself.
